Hi all,

I know it is possible to edit the design of the website offline by changing certain files etc., but how do I actually preview the website offline after I have made changes to the design?

Like with an html site for example, I would change the CSS and then open the index.html to preview the site. However this doesn''t work with VP-ASP.

Hi there,

You need to upload your changes to the site and then view the changes.

I recommend having a live site and a development site where you can test your changes and then once happy migrate your files to the live site to go live.

VPASP is a dynamically driven system so all changes must be viewed in the dynamic environment.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

cps, i am preferring to setup something like this -
- copy a duplicate your store in a new folder or sub domain name
- copy existing db to use in the test store
- then you modify any files u want in the test store

rather than u use offline data, its been quite wasting time as its hard to setup locally when your site is already live.
hope my trick will do.
Diego.
