For years we have on occasion had the problem of free shipping being offered to our customers. Sometimes customers would call us complaining that they were able to get free shipping yesterday and now it's not there. We couldn't figure out how that could happen. Well it happened to me today when trying to get some shipping estimates and I finally found out where it's coming from. I will show you how to stop it as well.
In the canadapostxmlsubs.asp file starting on line 40 you will find this code
Don't need to calculate if all products are tagged to have free shipping. Simply display the free shipping option for the ajax call.
if allFree = true and instr(ucase(request.servervariables("SCRIPT_NAME")),"canadapostxml.asp") = 0 then
response.write "<option>Free Shipping</option>"
else
Comment all of this out and it will eliminate the Free Shipping option from mysteriously appearing.
