I purchased the blue furniture template for my store. It is a 2 column template. Is there a way to change it to a 3 column. Please see my website www.zorbx.com/shop700
Thanks

Have you tried to add content to the right side using the Website Layout Manager? Looks like that template already has space for the right columns since the middle section does not extend all the way to the right.

yes. but it it does not work. It does not appear on the page.

If I use the default-3 cols template then it works. It has to be something with the CSS or shoppage_header or shoppage_trailer. Any ideas?

Editing a two column to make it three could be quite a task. How about taking a 3-column and update graphics and color scheme to make look like the one you got? Also, how fluent are you in CSS?

It looks like the space for the third column on the right is there. It has to be simple to switch on and off. Do you think it is something in the setup variable? I am not too good with CSS.

Thanks,

Hi Issa,

You can change any template to 3 column by updating the trailer file and the CSS controlling the width of your page.

If you open shoppage_trailer.htm in the default-3cols template folder you will see that it has the following:

<div id="vp_rightsidebox"><%rightsidebox%></div>

You need to add this to your shoppage_trailer.htm file i nthe same place.

Then open the layout.css file and look for the following class:

#wrap

Change the width to say 990px and tweak as needed.

This should now allow you to add extra containers into the right hand column.

Thank you.
