I have installed a Wowslider image slider into our website but it shows on not just the home page but all the other pages.

How do i get it to just show on the home page?

Hi Diego
I cannot get it to work without it being in shoppage_header.htm. It doesn't work in tmp_default.htm.

I am not a programmer and am testing this on a local machine.

If you know the code i would need to use please let me know.

Here is how you have to set it up, i amusing VPasp v.7

1. Download wowslider - www.wowslider.com

2. Make your slide show

(goto your site root and make a folder "slider" mine sits in /httpdocs/slider

3. click on publish to ftp server

4. click the edit button and enter your ftp info

5. under ftp folder back on main screen enter for example on mine /httpdocs/slider

6. click on publish bottom of screen, this will upload all to the correct folder and point everything to where it should be

7. now use your ftp client and goto to the slider folder and open up a file called "iframe_index.html" in an editor or viewer

8. copy everything you see
mine was

<! Start WOWSlider.com >
src="index.html" style="width:600px;height:350px;max-width:100%;overflow:hidden;border:none;padding:0;margin:0 auto;display:block;" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"></iframe>
<!-- End WOWSlider.com -->

9. now goto admin, page manager and open your home page , click on the html button under the content body section.

10. paste what you just copied in step #8

11. save your changes and enjoy the slide show.

You can paste the code from #8 on any template file or page.

Hope this helps

Bill

I forgot to mention that what you copy on step #8 above, you have to edit the text to reflect the directory the rest of the code is in.

example:

<! Start WOWSlider.com >
src="index.html" style="width:600px;height:350px;max-width:100%;overflow:hidden;border:none;padding:0;margin:0 auto;display:block;" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"></iframe>
<! End WOWSlider.com >

was changed to :

<! Start WOWSlider.com >
src="/slider/index.html" style="width:600px;height:350px;max-width:100%;overflow:hidden;border:none;padding:0;margin:0 auto;display:block;" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"></iframe>
<!-- End WOWSlider.com -->

so in this "/slider/" part to the link.
