Hi,
I have set my shipping method in my Admin to 'Product'.
I have also put the following line into both 'admin/config/shop$config.asp' and 'config/shop$config.asp':
const xshippingcalc="Product"
This is because in the Admin system, it said under 'How to set up product Shipping':
"In shop configuration set xshippingcalc Product"
Is this correct?
However, when I go through my checkout process, under 'Shipping Information' it is still coming up with Shipping Method, but nothing in the associated dropdown. I thought I would not need to have this? Also as I have selected something from the dropdown I can't continue as this is a required field.
Please help, can't work out for the User Manual as how I get past this.
Cheers |

you are wrong. you shoud set xshippingcalc config value by logging to admin, and go to menu Advanced Settings » Software Configuration, search for xshippingcalc and change the value to : Lookup.

Hi,
Thanks diegomilito for your reply. Just to clarify I want my shipping costs to be pulled from each product. Do I still need to need to set xshippingcalc to 'Lookup'?
Thanks |

Hi,
Then you would need to set the xshippingcalc to "Product" instead. Once set, you would then need to enter the shipping cost to weight field on each product record.
I think they have a more detailed information for this on chapter "12.4.2.8 Product" of their User Manual.
Hope this helps! |

Hi,
Thanks g3nnin for the reply. This is exactly what I have done, but still when I get to the 'Shipping Information' I still get the Shipping Method dropdown with nothing in it, should this disappear? As this dropdown is present I can't continue as this is a required field.
Help please
Regards

firstly . you go to change xshippingcalc to Lookup, and then edit the records there to only have 1 shipping record e.g. Product, with Shipping Cost 0. and then change back xshippingcalc to Product. now, edit each product weight field, and put in your own shipping cost per product. you are done here. try a purchase in your site, in shopcreateorder.asp, it should showing shipping price per product. i hope this time will help. Diego. |
