Hi all

I've just hooked up Google Analytics to our cart and, being an eCommerce solution I would have expected it to track conversions and funnels, but it doesn't seem to.

Has anyone else had any problems getting this to work?

I'm using the new One Page solution in case that makes a difference.

It doesn't seem to be capturing funnel data (even just the main cart page, and then the "onepage" starting point), and it also doesn't seem to be recording the confirmation page after payment has been made.

Thanks

bump - anyone? I'd love to find a way so that its possible to see (when you're using the OnePage add on) at what stage customers are leaving

Cheers

Can you verify the correct Google Analytics ID is showing on all pages?
Browse one of your pages and view its source. Scroll all the way to the bottom and look for code similar to this:
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");
document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
-->
</script>
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-XXXXXXXX-X");
pageTracker._initData();
pageTracker._trackPageview();

-->
</script>

Make sure the following line contains your correct ID.
var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-XXXXXXXX-X");

Thanks both. Yes, I tried checking the shopthanks.asp page and it seems to be getting called OK when I view the source.

I wondered if it was because it's not tracked whilst on the Worldpay/Paypal sites themselves and so had effectively "dropped" the connection with the originating transaction?

Just so I know what I'm dealing with, is VPASP Version 7 Delux capable of Google Analytics tracking by default (i.e do I just need to setup goals & funnels in GA, and then simply add the new GA code snippet to VPASP), or does VPASP not support GA Ecommerce tracking by default?

I'd love to know if there's a way to update the QueryString for the OnePage addon too so that I can track how far people get through that page.

Thanks

Hi,

The v7 should already support Ecommerce by default. I could see that there is a routine (ShopUrchinECommerce) called in shopproductsubs.asp file.

Hope this helps!

Hi Cam

I'm using version 7, so like q3nnin says, I thought e-commere tracking should already be active in version 7? Is that correct?

Thanks

Hi Kieran,

My bad. The team did include this in version 7.00.

If not working then you may need to post a ticket in our helpdesk.

Thank you.
