We need to have two different type of shipping set-up.
We have normal products shipped at price ranges from £3.50 to 5 99 which works okay.

But we have very light products that can be shipped for a fraction of the costs of normal items - customers abandon the transaction when they see a charge which they assume to be too high

We need one shipping method to cover xshippingcalc = pricerange

The other xshippingcalc = weight

Problem is we can't see how to get both running.

Is there any way this can be done?

Since you aren't using any of the real time shipping methods, couldn't you just use the shipping by weight method and set product weights not by their real weight but in some sort of scale that would match your shipping prices.

The light products would weigh 1
Normal products would weigh 20 or more

Weight of 1 to 19 = £0.50
Weight of 20 to 100 = £3.50
and so on.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes we could do that using shipping by weight method, however, of the 1540+ products that are on the site there are only a small number that require shipping at a reduced price due to light weight.

The logic is that most use the standard shipping charges.
