I'm not sure if this is something that you're after, but it does relate to group-buying/multi-buy-discounts:

Example uses:
Buy 1, Get One Free (equates to 2-for-1)
3-for-2 (equates to buy-3-get-1-free)
Buy 3, Get 1 half-price
Buy 5, get 2 free (equates to 5-for-3)
Buy 10, get 30% discount on 5
This is intended for special offers where you have multiple products that are part of an offer, where those products can be "counted" in any combination (ie it doesn't matter which of the products you grab off that "discount shelf", each product is counted as an item that's part of the offer).
eg for a buy-1-get-1-free, you can buy any 2 items from the discount shelf (the same item, or different items) and the cheapest one will automatically be free.

For those of you from the UK, this works like the Boots or Tesco mix'n match "3-for-2" kind of thing, or bogof on "shelves" etc. You can have as many "shelves" as you want, all with different offers if you want, and you can even have the same product on more than one of those shelves; it's very flexible.
Generic vpasp has loads of different types of discounts available, but this kind of logic is something we couldn't find, and a couple of people asked us to code it up on their site, so we created an addon for it so that anyone can use it for a small fixed cost (or for free if they're subscribed via BYZ147) rather than as a customisation.
It's hard to explain the subtle (but important) differences between what this addon does and what generic vpasp is capable of doing.
The addon isn't a replacement to generic vpasp discounts, it's an extra option, ie it'll layer the byz multi-buy discount on top of whatever vpasp already allows for discounts, so you can still also have generic vpasp discounts too.
