 Upgrading from 6.5 to 7.0		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

Dumb question, but when upgrading from 6.5 to 7.0 do I need to copy the 7.0 files into my existing store folder thus over-righing many files or create a new folder and run the upgrade from there?

Hi there

I would create a new folder specific to the upgrade and then only once everything was ready move the files to over write your original 650 storefront.

As a note you can run both old and new stores off the upgraded database but once you do run the Upgrade Wizard you can only access the admin using the new VPASP 7.0 admin console.

Presentation - product templates that have been customized for the 6.5 site may need some special care when upgrading to the VPAsp VPCart 7 format.

The shoppage_header.htm and shoppage_trailer.htm are seriously different in the new version, and located in new folders depending on your choice ot 2 or 3 column template formats.
