Could anyone advise, will V7.01 run on Windows 2008 servers running IIS 7.5? If so, are there any specific set up requirements for the servers?

I have my loaded my site on the above but the shopexd.asp and protxshopcheckout.asp pages return a 500 internal server error.

Any help would be much appreciated.

better you set from ur hosting to turn off friendly error, that after you turn off, you should see the real error code that can shed some light what is causing the pages to not run.

Sorry this topic is a year old but I thought it might help someone. I am running V7.01 on Server 2012 64 bit with IIS 8 and the only issue I have had to do run in 32 bit mode.

This is how to check if an app pool is running as 32bit or 64bit in IIS 7.

Goto IIS manager -> Application pools -> the apppool you want and -> Advanced Settings.

In there there''s a setting called enable 32bit apps. If that''s true, that means the worker process is forced to run in 32bit. If the setting is false, then the apppool is running in 64bit mode.

Also you can open up task manager and check the w3wp.exe. If it''s shown as w3wp*32.exe then its 32bit.

Hi rberr
I know this is a very old post but just incase you are still monitoring this thread ..

I have been using the standard checkout page and just trying to change to SagePay. I am getting the same basic error you received - did you find a solution? - if so please update this post

Many thanks

Brad

Hi ok found the solution

Make sure in protxfunctions.asp at you have a single comment ( '' ) on 2 of the 3 const GatewayLocations

''** Simulator site **
''const GatewayLocation="https://ukvpstest.protx.com/VSPSimulator/VSPFormGateway.asp"

''** Test site **
''const GatewayLocation="https://ukvpstest.protx.com/vspgateway/service/vspform-register.vsp"

''** Live site - ONLY uncomment when going live **
const GatewayLocation="https://ukvps.protx.com/vspgateway/service/vspform-register.vsp"
