I saw this a couple weeks ago in the RC of IE9 but i wanted to wait to post this till the actual final version was released. I'm running the latest release service pack of vpasp 7.

The only incompatibility i have found with IE9 and VPASP is inside the administration tool, the html editor appears to be broken. if you click compatibility view, it works fine. but that's not a great long term solution.

i'd also like to see built in jump list support that shows the latest products in the jump list.

thanks!

Follow up, your main web site has some weird issues on pages like http://www.vpasp.com/sales/shopblogslistings.asp with IE9.

Hi Shaun,

Thanks for that,

We have updated our site now for IE9.

We are still waiting on the Editor developers to release an update unfortunately. We contacted them when this was first raised and they still have not found a solution.

When they do we will post a FAQ on what is needed.

Thank you.

Our client (using VPASP 6.5) has identified the same problem when using IE9.

Within the admin pages:
(1) the TinyMCE (HTML) editor shows text bigger than it did in IE8
(2) it's not possible to format text within the TinyMCE editor
(3) if data is changed e.g. the price or another field (that doesn't use the HTML editor) it is not written to the database

TinyMCE suggest upgrading to v3.3 or 3.4 of their editor? see http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=80665

I am unclear however why there is now a problem updating a product record when using IE9?

The workaround for now is to use IE8 compatibility mode and features work as usual.

Ahhh the joys of IE..

Hi all,

Innova have just released an updated version so we are downloading now to test to see if the issues are resolved.

Crossing fingers!

If you get stuck just use Chrome or Firefox as the Editor still works 100% in these browsers.

This does not affect the front of site as well so no impact on your customers.

Thank you.

Sounds good. (Sorry thought it was TinyMCE!)

Thanks Cam.
