Has anyone else had memory problems with vpasp using "access data base"? We just got our new site up and had many problems with "out of memory" throughout the site. I host with WEBECS and they said they see this problem all the time with "access". I was placing a telephone order tonight and couldn't finish the order because of this problem. Talk about embarrassment!
Should I switch over to SQL?
Any thoughts on the matter?

Hi Cliff,

Have you done much custom code?

Access is ok for databases up to 10mb but for bigger databases I would consider SQL or MySQL.

Mind you we have had customers on databases of 100mb and still working which did I must admit surprise us.

If you have a memory leak from an unclosed connection you can get this error, or possibly your applicaiton pool is limited for memory.

Either way SQL or MySQL wouldbe my suggestion anyway and if still an issue you can then look at possible other issues as at least your site is built for growth then anyway.

Thank you.
