I've been using VPASP since version 5 and really love it. Especially version 7.
There is one problem that continues to annoy customers and cause a lot of abandoned orders. That is the check out process. It is just too many clicks and steps to complete. It really needs to be streamlined.
Currently it is :
Review Cart > Checkout > enter info > select shipping prices > review order > payment screen > thank you page.
Most store sites have it as follows :
1.Cart Page
Add area to enter your zip code if not logged in and it calculates shipping and tax in real time on the cart page. Select the ship method and click Checkout.
2. Checkout
Secure page with order summary and a place where you enter all contact info and ship to info. ability to change to a different ship method. Enter all credit card info and click place order.
3. Thank You Page and confirmation.
Much easier for the customer.
Any chance of a custom patch to do this. It should be too hard to change.
