If you've upgraded from an older version of vpasp to v7, and you used relative paths in your image sources and links in your extendeddesc's and content data, you'll notice that the html-editor in admin won't show you the images/links properly.
This is because on v7 the admin folder is now in a different folder to the customer side of the site, so relative links/images within admin will become broken.
Or, if you're trying to display extendeddesc's or content from outside the main vpasp folder (eg on our static pages) then your links/images might not be getting displayed properly if you've only used relative links/images in your data instead of virtual links/images.
Well, we've had a few people with these kinds of problems, and developed this:
BYZ165 - Link and Source Corrector for VP-ASP http://www.bigyellowkey.com/mysoftware_product_details.asp?prdid=366&opu=n
(click on the sample screen snapshots on that page to see the old/corrected urls within the html)
very handy; can save you many man-days of manual data correction and avoid typos which are inevitable when doing it manually. If a link/source is already valid then it leaves it alone (ie it doesn't just add "/" at the front of all the links/sources; it's much more intelligent than that)
Changes 1000's of embedded image/link paths at the push of a button.
If you don't need to do this then it's no real benefit. If you do need to do this then the addon will save you an unbelievable amount of time/hassle.
