Clients of mine have asked for a few features only available in AJAX enabled cart systems like this Dynamic Mini-Cart feature which can be seen at this site. Click on Ajouter au Panier which is French for Add-To-Cart at this link and watch what happens to the Mini-Cart in the right side panel:

Would anyone here consider purchsing such a feature as a VPASP add-on if it were available? It would be priced in the $75-$125 range.

Also, this application which could be used as an Affiliate's Hosted
Dynamic Cart has been used by 1-800-Flowers to raise their sales by 40% in less than one year according to their president.

The concept of having VPASP as the back-end system to such a persistent, omni-present distributed shopping cart on multiple affiliate sites just boggles the mind. Affiliates would only have to include some html as an include file or some javascript on every page where they wanted to display your cart and customers would never have to leave their site in order to purchase your products directly using this Distributed Dynamic Shopping Cart Widget (tm) 2009 21st Century eCommerce Systems, Inc. and (c) 2009 21st Century eCommerce Systems, Inc.

Due to its complexity and power this VPASP add-on would be priced somewhere between $50 and $100 per affiliate site (per year) depending on total affiliate counts using either a SaaS (Software as a Service) model or an ASP (Application Service Provider) model.

Let me know what the interest level is from the VPASP community.
Certainly almost every ASP or ASP.NET cart product has some variant of this feature on the drawing boards and your competitors will all be using something like this very soon.

If your sales did not go up by 2% to 5% per affiliate I would be very surprised. 20-25 quality affiliates might produce the 40% sales growth seen by 1-800-Flowers in only one year.

This year is my 10th Anniversary as a VPASP consultant. Suggestions made to Howard Kadetz which were adopted as part of the core VPASP system include the VeriSign Gateway which I actually debugged and validated, the Snitz Forums Application which you are using right now, and ChiliSoft ASP for MySQL and Linux. I have been developing both ASP, ASP.NET and SQL Server Applications for the same timeframe and my clients have included: United HealthCare, Bank of America, Sirius Satellite Radio, Sovereign Bank, Boston University Medical School, EMC Corp., TJMaxx Stores and several other Fortune 100 or Fortune 500 Companies.

Clients of mine have asked for a few features only available in AJAX enabled cart systems like this Dynamic Expandable Mini-Cart feature which can be seen at this site just below here. Click on [Ajouter au Panier] which is French for Add-To-Cart at this link and watch what happens to the Mini-Cart in the right side panel:

We need 1-2 Beta Test Clients who will get the source code for free if they are only willing to either email us a zipped up Access file containing only your Products, Categories, Sub-Categories and Features or just give us permission in writing to download product images and the short and extended descriptions right from your website over the internet.

This is just one of many planned VPASP add-ins coming soon from 21st Century eCommerce Systems, Inc. When you see what we have planned to match the mini-Cart Shoplet like 1-800-Flowers is sponsoring right now for its affiliates you will probably not believe your eyes. We will be able to install most of your products in a floating, expandable Shopping Cart Widget (tm) 21st Century Systems, Inc. in places like Facebook, MySpace and other Social Sites as well as on your affiliates main web sites. It will have a really neat Drag and Drop Add-To-Cart feature, scrolling image slide shows and dynamically expandable Product Images, Tool Tips with extended Product Descriptions from your database, an expandable mini-Shopping Cart using Ajax features, Real-Time Shipping Calcs, and access to all the Gateways supported by VPASP.

We need 2-3 beta testers for this product as well which will be ready to go to testing in about 2-3 weeks believe it or not. All you have to do is either provide your Product images and product Descriptions in an Access database or give us permission to scrape them from your web site and then sit back and just test your Dynamic Cart Widget once or twice a day running on our development websites and report any bugs or defects you find. Beta testers will get licenses for 5 affiliates to run the code we are writing as a VPASP add-on. Hope this gets your attention, because 1-800-Flowers used this exact approach to increase sales by 41% this year. You could set up multiple affiliates using both Social Networking Sites and affiliates who have their own websites as well as long as you have purchased the Affiliates tracking package from VPASP. I already have a Jewelry Shop and a Clothing site ready to go but need a few more diverse product types.

It will operate something like this site for 1-800-Flowers but will require a core VPASP license for all relevant modules. You have to have a SQL Server based VPASP shop in order to run this application however.

Cam, can you help me with the licensing requirements if the client is running their VPASP application code against the SAME SQL Server database from 2 different web servers?

Best Regards,
John
