Hi Elvis,

That is a very interesting read.

Anyone else seen anything like this?

Thanks for posting.

Wow that's amazing.
But it just shows how important it is to know your customers and design your site with them uppermost in mind, and act promptly if they don't go through with their purchases. I must admit I don't like having to 'register or login' on a site just to buy something.

I agree. I always recommend against setting up your store to ask for registrations first as this is a good way to have customers choose option B which is go to your competitors site.

Anything that makes it hard for customers to purchase should be avoided.

Thanks

Hi MCG,

1. Log into your admin and go to Set Up.
2. Go to Customer Information
3. Change the following:
xcheckexistingcustomer = No
xLoginSeparatePage = No
xlogonrequired = No
xpromptforlogin = No

The downside of doing this is customers will need to insert their details everytime but going by the above article that is not a bad thing.

Another downside is customers will not be able to log in and review their existing orders so the customer management section will be redundant.

Hope this helps

Thanks
Cam
