Hi,
I have setup UPS realtime shipping. But I want to only offer "UPS Ground" shipping method, how to hide other shipping method such as "UPS Next Day Air", "UPS 2nd Day Air" and others?

Hi madbug,
To hide other UPS shipping method please follow the steps below:
1) Plese open upsxmlrealinterface.asp in any html editor/notepad
2) Locate the shipping method around line 289
Addservice "01", "UPS Next Day Air"
Addservice "02", "UPS 2nd Day Air"
Addservice "03", "UPS Ground"
Addservice "07", "UPS Worldwide Express"
Addservice "08", "UPS Worldwide Expedited"
Addservice "11", "UPS Standard"
Addservice "12", "UPS 3-Day Select"
Addservice "13", "UPS Next Day Air Saver"
Addservice "14", "UPS Next Day Air Early AM"
Addservice "54", "UPS Worldwide Express Plus"
Addservice "59", "UPS 2nd Day Air AM"
Addservice "65", "UPS Express Saver"
comment all the method out, except UPS Ground
3) Locate the code around line 343
TempMethods(tempmethodscount)=Service
TempPrices(tempmethodscount)=price
tempmethodscount=tempmethodscount+1
comment the above code out as well.
4) Test order, the UPS method should only showing "UPS Ground"

We would like to rearrange the order of how the different UPS shipping methods are displayed. Right now, Next Day Air is listed first and, because it is first, it is selected as the default method. We want UPS Ground to be selected as the default but right now it is listed third out of the four methods we are offering.
How can we rearrange the order of the different methods or is there a better way to have UPS Ground automatically selected as the default?

In order to get rid of the "select" option being displayed in the shipping pulldown menu, locate the line in shopcustomerform.asp that starts "GenerateSelectV" (it's somewhere around line 170 if you haven't made edits to the original scripting). Replace the last value in the line with double double-quotes, so it looks like this:
GenerateSelectV shippingmethods,shippingvalues,ShipMethodType,"shipmethodType",shippingcount,""
Once this is done, the first option will automatically be shown as the default. |
