When I generate HTML files, from my products, it creates the html files and the index.html as intended.

But, and here I need anyone’s help.

1 - in VPASP, when the files are created this error message comes up on the VPSASP admin screen:

"Field selObj.selectedIndex not in database"

I have no idea what field is not in the database. I can’t seem
to find any answer.

2 - When the index file is created, it pulls out a look and feel from a very old template that does not match any of the templates i have.

What templates define the look and feel of this file (index.html inside the html folder)?

Is it tmp_generateheader and tmp_generatetrailler or tmp_generate?

I do need help. Thanks.

It sounds like you've got some javascript in your generator header/trailer templates; anything with square brackets in them in the templates (or in the product data) will get treated like column names.
A way around it would be to move the javascript out of the file and into a file of its own, and then put a javascript source line referencing the file/function in your template instead.
