I made several changes in Languages table but after incorporating changes when I tried to view my shopping cart, I found that changes have not happened whereas changes took place in the database.

Why it is not taking the data from the Languages table.

You can easily change any of the text you see on your site by following the below steps.

1. Log into your administration pages
2. Click on the "Occasional Tasks" button at the top of the screen
3. Under "International" click on "Edit Language"
4. In the Selection criteria drop downs, choose "caption" and "contains" and in the search field enter the text you want to find - in this case "You will now be directed to enter your payment details" (without the quotes)
5. Select "English" from the Language Dropdown
6. Click Display
7. You can now click "Edit" next to the correct result from your search.
8. Change the value of the text in the "caption" field, then click "update record"
9. Click "Back to Languages"
10. Click on the "Reset Language" link
11. Select "English" and click "Continue"

You can follow these steps for any of the language options you want to change.

Hope this helps

Thanks
Cam

I find Language changes are slow to take effect. They must be cached somewhere.

They should take effect straight away, but you need to do the "reset language" thing to force it.

They're stored as server variables rather than session values.

If reset language doesn't do the trick, try changing the xshopid (eg "shop650" to "shop650_001") in shop$config.asp and then resetting it again.
