(Sorry for the crosspost... I realized this fit better here than under "General Help Me")
What I need to do is to pass an additional field (it's a variable set outside the store before checkout) which will be associated with the current order number. I looked through the orders table and didn't see any preconfigured "additional fields". I suppose I could just use one of the stock fields that we aren't using for anything else, but because of the length of the variable (it could easily be over 1000 characters) this would need to be a "text" field, and there aren't any in the orders table.
Ultimately, as part of the admin order details, I want to add a link to be able to bring up this variable for printing out. However, I need to figure out where to store it in the db first.
Any ideas? |
