Dear,

I'm wonder which database use with vp-asp:

in your opinion an ecommerce with 200/250 items which database is better to choose?

Is Access appropriate in order to manage this number of items ?

thanks.

Access is definitely good enough for 200/250 items; it's only when you start to get to around 50,000 or more records in a table or if you get a large number of visitors that you'd need to consider moving to mysql or sqlserver.

Also, with access it's much easier to setup a test database compared to sqlserver/mysql because you just copy the mdb file.

I'd definitely use Access if I were in your shoes. Remember that you can always upgrade to sqlserver or mysql later on if you need to; vpasp has all the relevant conversion/creation scripts to do such a migration if needed later on.
