We're developing a shopping cart for a company that wants the ability to ship individual items to separate addresses. No problem as far as shipping charges go; we've got that worked out, including the fuel surcharges.
However, sales tax depends upon the delivery location. We had tried to use Features to implement separate sales-tax calculation for order items; no go. Our next thought is to treat the separate deliveries as separate orders, to be paid for all at once in a sort of meta-order.
Has anyone had experience implementing something like this, or does anyone have another plan of attack to suggest?
