after successful login to my shop admin I am thrown off after
a short period of time (i.e a matter of seconds). It sometimes allows me to carry out a couple of admin tasks until
it forces me off with an unauthorized administrator error.

My xsessiontimeout value is fine, my database permissions seem ok but it still throws me off.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

It used to work fine a few months ago.

This is usually due to a short session timeout set by your host. On shared hosting, the host usually set this to a very low period to coserve server resources.

You might need to contact them and ask them to increase the timeout.

When you get to unauthorized admin error, is there any changes on the URL ?

like for example , before Unauthorized error :

http://mysite.com

after error :

http://www.mysite.com

(difference in www)
