i was reading through the manual about discount, but mostly it covers only discount by minimum price.
I would like to do a discount by quantity, say if someone buy at least 5 dozen, there next pcs after 5doz will be x dollar less. is it possible to do that? |

Hi,
It think Quantity Discounts feature will do that. Just check Chapter 12.2 |

Hi,
You could use groupfordiscount field. Or you can add a new record within Quantity Discount section.

i did try groupfordiscount, but it doesnt do what i wanted it to do. basically it combines / groups all the items together and then calculate the discount. where as i want the discount applied individually per product. i can't use catagory either because i have various discount plans in a category. if i create a new record per product, that wont do either because i have many products.
so im wondering if i could apply a discount to multiple products (according to catalog ID?) |

Hi,
You could make a hidden category, insert all the products to that category. Then, make quantity discount based on that hidden category.
If this still doesn't do, then you should contact support :) |
