it should work fine on all versions; it's the standard product-detail page
try running it in firefox/netscape instead of internet explorer, then you'll see a proper error message instead of the standard internet explorer "500 - an error has ocurred" page.

i am getting an error "Automatic Extended descriptions" with shopexd.asp in both netscape and ie.
i figured out how to make a product page. i use "shopquery.asp?catalogid=1".
i would still like my "shopexd.asp" to work. |

yes; shopquery is another page you can use, but it'll only show you a summary rather than the details, really you need to get shopexd working; it might be that you've got incorrect file/directory permissions on the server and that it's not reading the product detail templates
I don't recognise that error message though

You need to make sure that you have xgenerateshopexdlink set to Yes. Go to Admin Panel > Cart Set-Up > Products2 and find this field. I'm fairly sure this is not available with the free version though.

Hi Rfranco,
The shopexd.asp file does only work in the full versions. Sorry, I don't think anyone realised you were using the free.
Thanks Cam

oops; I realised the free version was being used, but I didn't know that shopexd isn't functional in the free version; learn something new every day I guess.
