I want the customer to be able to either click the product thumbnail image to view a larger image.

Or...

Use the larger image by default on the product page, but without the problem of the larger image showing up elsewhere (like on the home page) where I'd rather it be the thumbnail size.

Adding to my post:
The cart came with sample products that were already configured to show the larger images in the images/full folder. Unfortunately, I deleted them before studying how those products were set up. So I suspect the answer to my question isn't a terribly difficult one or one that requires special customization of the configuration files.

If you're using VP-ASP v6.50 you might want to read page 34 of the manual. It explains about linking to extended description pages and larger images.

Thanks. I looked at the documentation but it's too confusing.

On each product page, I merely wish to display the "larger image" that I've uploaded instead of the thumbnail image.

Can somebody please tell me which file I need to alter and what code to use?

tmp_product.htm is the template for products on the epanded product page (shopexd.asp) and tmp_productformat.htm is the one for products on productdisplayproducts.asp.

If you want to display the extended image use the following code:
<img border="0" src="[extendedimage]">
