we have a customer who ideally would like to edit just one field in order to update both the thumbnail and extimage.

in his case, images are always

filename.gif - for the thumbnail
filename.jpg - for the mainimage

filename is always the same for both versions e.g. A123

so he'd like to tell vpasp his image is called A123 and for VPASP to do the rest!

obviously there are permutations around this e.g. image location, extension etc but I can see where he's coming from.

Is that something for a future version?

Theres a program i use called Easy Thumbnail which is a free download. It makes thumbnails for you using the same image. its id is tn_imagename.whatever and you got yourself a thumnail and regular image. google it and try it out. you'll like it

Thanks for the reply.

I know the program concerned and I agree it's very useful for the creation of images.

However it is the administration of the images within the product records where we were looking for some enhancements to save time.

Ideally, it would be nice to be able to upload a large image and have the cart not only resize it to a user-defined size, but to simultaneously create a thumbnail version, also of a user-defined size.
