Hi,
I am using VP-ASP Plus 7.02.8 and my web host is having to move my site to a new server.
How do we change the location of database and associated files so that it works on the new server please?

Hi,
Will the domain name changed too? If so, you need to update these settings in shop$config.asp:
const xDbLocation=
const xmysite=
The files themselves should be located in "config" and "admin/config" folders.

Hi g3nnin, thank you for your reply. The domain name is not changing.
I made the changes but got the tech to alter the db link as it was not server Mappath like it said and its a little better but now we see this error:
Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.
/shoplayoutmgrlogo.asp, line 19
Have you got any suggestions how to proceed please? |

not sure, but could be you have an issue with database, whether connection or database corrupted
