Just FYI:
People trying to access my admin page:
got dates, time etc. this is from 2 months. Around 330 attempts..
MAYBE we can write a code to ban these IP's to access our servers. -----------> this one has guts (or a great moron) ----------> our wannabe is from bucaresti.

Scary! How are you recording there IP's?
Does your webstats program do this? - are you just looking for accesses other than your open IP on your admin file?

In the upcoming VP-ASP 5.0 you will be able to stop hackers from specific IP addresses, e-mail addreses or even countries from shopping in your shop. The code is extensible and you can add additional checks as you see fit

There will be a hackers table where you can load the type of information being collected.

We have created a warning on our checkout page in the YourVirtualStore which takes the visitors IP Address which reads as follows:

We take card fraud seriously.

Your IP Address 285.49.blah.blah has been logged and will be used to trace you in the event of a fraudulent transaction.

We do not retain credit card details in our system. All credit card details are processed by our financial institution in a secure environment

Since we did this for our site the number of stolen credit cards used has dropped considerably. We had a few go through early in piece but we have simply forwarded all details to the police.

Look forwad to getting the hacker table as we have quite a list ourselves of IP's to be blocked.
