Just in time for the Holiday selling season! The Stone Edge Order Manager is now available for VPASP users. The Order Manager is a PC-based program that provides a merchant with most of the tools that they need to run their day-to-day operations. Some of its capabilities include:
* Easy import of orders from VPASP, as well as over 30 other shopping cart systems, plus Amazon, eBay and Shop.com.
* Manual entry of orders that arrive via phone, mail, etc.
* Optional POS (Point of Sale) system for "brick and mortar" retail stores. Includes real-time inventory updates with VPASP.
* Multi-channel support allows orders from separate channels to be managed in one place and to share inventory tracking, while retaining their individual site branding.
* Printing pick lists, invoices and packing slips.
* Scanning of items as they are packed to eliminate packing errors.
* Printing of UPS, USPS and Fedex shipping labels.
* Inventory tracking, including real-time inventory tracking with VPASP.
* Purchasing
* Drop shipping
* Customer support
* Returns, exchanges and RMAs
* Extensive reporting capabilities
* Powerful email features
And much more.
Integration with VPASP is easy. We provide a script that you upload to your store. Then you tell the Order Manager the URL, user ID, password, etc. for the site. Everything else is handled by the Order Manager.
The base price of the Order Manager is just $1,500. That price includes a five-workstation license and a year of technical support (including up to 3 hours of telephone support time and a year of program updates). The "Plus POS" version, which adds a "virtual cash register" for retail stores, is $2,500. And the Enterprise Version, which uses Microsoft SQL Server for its data storage instead of Microsoft Access, is $6,000, including a 10-seat license and 5 hours of telephone support. All versions are written in Microsoft Access and VBA, and it does require a full version of Microsoft Access on each workstation. 99% of the program is open source code, and we include "hooks" for calling custom functions and other tools to support program customization.

(Hope nobody objects to the long commercial message.)

The Order Manager uses one database for all of your orders, including Web, phone/mail and POS. If you have multiple Web stores, they can all come into the same database (typically if they share the same product line), or you can set up separate databases (for totally different product lines or separate legal entities).
So, for example, if someone orders on-line, then later comes into your physical store, you can load their customer info into the POS by just entering their email address or phone number. Likewise, Web orders will be automatically matched with pre-existing customers, regardless of whether they first ordered over the Internet or at your POS.
The only limitation on the sharing is that the Order Manager will not send POS customers to VPASP.
