Why does VPASP allow multiple accounts with the same Email address.

That is to say how come it will allow a person to set up multiple accounts using the same Email address but with different passwords. And since it will allow this what happens if a person with multiple accounts using the same Email address ask the system to Email them their password? Will they get multiple Emails or only one?

Hi Cliff,

You need to make sure you have xcheckexistingcustomer set yo Yes in the online Set Up.

This tells VPASP that it needs to check to see if the customer already exists in the database.

Thanks, and if I do this now that there are many duplicate accounts what will happen?

Hi Cliff,

Unfortunately if your customers already have multiple entries you will need to manually remove the doubled entries from the system.
