I must have something setup wrong...
I can access and run the cart using MYURL/shopping/default.asp
But trying to edit the pages is a bane.
When I get the "Welcome to VP-ASP shopping cart" page running with quick links on the right, the "enter store", "admin login" and "Test database Connections and email settings" do not work. when I click them it loads up default.asp, shopadmin.asp and diag_dbtest.asp in notepad, not as a webpage with clickable links like the documentation says I should be getting.
Any ideas what I did wrong?

Does your web host support ASP? VPASP requires a Windows Server to operate and it must have ASP enabled.

Yes, I am running Abyss Webserver x2 (IIS does not allow for multiple domains on one machine)
I installed Selisoft as suggested via helpdesk question.

I have the database directory set to read and write and you can run through the shopping cart with no problems (or any that I have yet to find).
It is the admin pages and other 3 links on that page... can't get those to work.

I've looked at the html numerous times and just do not
see what is causing the actual page not to load.
I have downloaded and went through the quick guide and
the users manual. A screen shot of the actual admin
page loaded would be helpful, seeing the notepad
screen from cliking the links each time had me confused.

All the other file names are the same and unchanged
(except the database filename.)
Do you need the database filename as well?
All the files are under the shopping directory
extracted from the zip file (not dragged/dropped)
Also, I noticed the forum post counter stopped working for you.
you have 3 posts on this thread but the last 2 didnt add to your count, stuck at 2648 posts. |
