here is a suggestion for the developers, perhaps there could be a variable in the admin pages that you could set to a time out limit.

xsessiontimeout is the variable in the admin pages which is suppose to control time outs. We currently have this set to 30 minutes. 20 minutes is the recommended amount.

I am using VP-ASP Merchant Productivity and I honestly can say that it increased my productivity a lot. (I have been using VPASP for over 5 years now and this is one of the best add-ons) It worths every penny and it is very easy to install.
see details at; listed at http://www.hkprog.com/vpasp/hk_admin.htm

I tried everything to fix the session time-out and no luck.
I finally found out why my admin session was timing out.

The application pool was shutting down automatically after 5 minutes.

For people who have VP-ASP hosting, what is the default IIS timeout setting? Is it automatically pushed to 20 minutes or does a separate request have to be made?

Hi Epseja

The default in IIS is 5 minutes. We try to change this to 20 minutes when setting up but sometimes it is missed.

If you post a ticket in the helpdesk our team will update this for you.

Thanks
Cam
