Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to deep link to a categories 2nd or third page directly?

Presently if you want to go to acategory 1 you use the link shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=1&cat=CATEGORY, then if you go to the second page the link shopdisplayproducts.asp?page=2. So you can't go directly to that second page from an external source.

Does anyone know of a way around this?

The reason for this (before anyone asks) is for seo purposes.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm sure this is something you cannot do from an external source. It's the external incoming address string that triggers the dynamic shopdisplayproducts.asp page, so there is no way that I know of, of specifying how many pages of products will be triggered by the category. If Amazon can't do it, it's unlikely we'll be able to.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but there are 2 possible solutions:

1. Increase the number of products to be displayed on one page. Broadband accessibility is greater than ever now, so it shouldn't have such a marked effect on loading time. We have up to 20 products per page. It is easier for a potential customer to scroll up and down a page than it is to flick between 2 or more pages.

2. Split your category if you can. A bit more work involved but might be better for SEO
