Hi All,
If anyone would like a customisable order confirmation sent to their mobile by SMS using www.clickatell.com then I have now achieved this. It take a matter of minutes to get working.
I can't believe I didnt think of doing it this way months ago as I use their SMTP gateway all the time.
Firstly you will need a Clickatell account. you can sign up and get 10 free credits at www.clickatell.com
Once you have signed up you need to activate the SMTP / Email gateway on your account, this will give you an API_ID which you will need.
Modify your tmp_maillist.txt file to read as follows
VPASP,[email protected],tmp_clickatell.txt
Then create a new template file called tmp_clickatell.txt and put the following details in it. (changing the items in brackets to match your settings)
api_id:[YOUR SMTP GATEWAY API-ID]
user:[YOUR CLICKATELL USERNAME]
password:[YOUR CLICKATELL PASSWORD]
reply:[EMAIL ADDRESS FOR CONFIRMATION]
from:new order
to:[YOUR MOBILE NUMBER]
text:Order No: [orderid] Total: [formatcurrency orderamount] Payment: [ocardtype] Comment: [ocomment]
deliv_ack:1
You can customise the text section above to your own needs using any of the tags in the tmp_merchantemail.txt file.
THEN one last step. change xemaillist in your admin setup to tmp_emaillist.txt
