Has anybody been able to get the group products discount to work?

I have the xproductgroupdiscount set to Yes in V4.0.

catalogid and categoryid = 0
minquantity=3
quantity1=9999
discount1=0.1
groupfordiscount=A

I have set some products to have group discout as A.

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

What I am interested in doing is getting it so that if they buy any three products that are labeled as groupdiscount "A", they get a 10% discount.

Did you ever get this to work? I want to do the same thing. If you choose something from category A, B, and C then it discounts. I got it work by setting up my xproductgroupdiscount with a minimum qty of three. Then I set the groupdiscount per item to the same field name. The problem is if you buy 3 of any one of the prodcuts it also discounts
