Has anyone here successfully skinned or created a theme for the admin area?

Ok, it looks like no one has done this.

Can I at least change the color purple to green or blue?

You could search the files for the purple colour (9999CC) and change them all to whatever you want.

Frustratingly, it is specified in a lot of tables, rather than just the CSS, so it may need to be changed in a number of places.

This is actually a good idea for the new version. We will look into moving all admin formatting into the admin CSS file to make it simpler to skin.

This is probably what I will do...if I have to replace the actual colors in all tables > tr > td it would be just as easy to replace that color with a css class OR ID and then add that to the style sheet.

It would be great to have it available in the next edition so we can "skin" the admin to match our website(s).

I have done this in green and I love it.

but since VPASP is not reading all styles from stylesheet and some styles are inline with the code it is hard to include anything here.

Also the corners are using some images which you can change it in Photoshop

Since sharing the code will expose lot of VPASP backend I think it will violate the VPASP Terms.

However, I can setup a tutorial on how to do it if more people are interested.
