Hi All,
I have also bought set to yes in the config, and processed orders that contain multiple products, however, there are no also bought items showing under these products?
Any idea why

Hey mark, I have had a similar problem with alsobought using MySQL for version 6.0. However, I raised this issue up with support and this was fixed for version 6.5. Works like a charm now. |

I have the same problem and when I checked the code in shopalsobought.asp I see this code below in sub Getalsoboughtproducts
'VP-ASP 6.50 - broadened defintion of IF statement to cover cases where xmysql hasn't been set if ucase(xdatabasetype) = "MYSQL" OR ucase(xdatabasetype) = "MYSQL351" OR getconfig("xMYSQL")="Yes" then exit sub
Does this mean that it will not work for mysql at all? |

From memory the VPASP guys had to do a quick mod of the code, probably best to start a new ticket so they can get it working for you.

just in case anyone's spotted the topic and thinks that this relates to our own also-bought (and/or cross-selling) addons, a quick note for people who might already have those. The 2 addons below are ones that we created/sell, and are separate/additional submodules that allow more options and greater tweakability etc:
Also Bought (BYZ080, V05) - http://www.bigyellowzone.com/shopexd.asp?id=97
Cross-Selling (BYZ086, V03) - http://www.bigyellowzone.com/shopexd.asp?id=101
The reason I mention this is kind of related to the initial posting, in that there are some permutations of database-type/data/config-options that cause problems with the general logic that these things can use. Although they might appear to be simple things to do, the actual logic that it needs to use is quite complex because access/mysql/sqlserver all use different syntax/rules for the logic that's needed, and also there's the sqlserver text/memo bug that needs to be catered for.
Anyway; the upshot is that if anyone's having any problems with our versions of the cross-selling/also-bought addons, then just "ask a question" via our help area and we'll send you the latest zips which cater for all situations. (the new version also allows you to use customer prices in the display).
