When I add a Menu Item in the Admin panel to my Navigation bar and then click the Reload Menu button I get an error. It is:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/shopa_navigation_create.asp, line 314 .

however, if I do it offline, it works fine. Only when I attempt to do it online does this happen.

You need to set permissions in your editor folder. Its working offline because you must have permissions set locally. However, I believe you need to contact your host and ask them to give you read/write permission on the editor folder.
