I've started to populate my 6.50 installation with categories and products, but couldn't find the example products (office furniture, DVD cases, etc) in the Admin anywhere.

I tracked the problem down to the "userid" field in "products" table having the userid of "admin", where I'm now using a different userid.

To be honest, I think the problem was self-inflicted as I may have just updated the userid manually within "tbluser", but it's worth considering if anyone else has missing products within the admin that can be seen on the website.

whats the sql statement for your products page looks like? turn xdebug to Yes

it should be something like
select * from products

yours probably will be something like
select * from products where userid.....

you need to modify that sql statement and remove the user id clause

Turns out it was DoRestrictProducts in shopa_editdisplay. Can this be set within admin? I've just commented it out for now.

Hi Joff,

Go back to the Admin Users section of the admin and check if your log in is restricted or a super user.

The restricted user is so you can have people access the admin and be bale eto see products or categories that are assigned to their log in.

Super Users see everything.

Thanks
Cam
