 How to activate hyperlink Product Description		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

Hi,

I'm new to VP-ASP (using 6.50 Deluxe)

I've added a product, from the home page if I click on my product I will see a complete long description of it. But if I click on the product button link from the NAV bar. It will display the products with a short description. But theres no Hyperlink for the long description. Why ?

Hello Adi,

It is easy to do however user Guide does not look to clear on what to do. Maybe VP-ASP want to update it a bit? ;)

You can do in 2 way. First one is make all products have link to extended page.

In Setup section find xgenerateshopexdlink and make yes. This will add links to all products.

To make each product have a link on its own you can change in the product record.

Extended description page: shopexd.asp
Template file: tmp_product.htm

This one lets you set the template for the main product display page with all products on it.
Template Listing: tmp_productformat.htm
