Hello all, just started setting up v6.5, not an upgrade. My very first attempt to login to shopadmin.asp, I entered admin and admin then I get a window that says "you have chosen to open shopadmin1.asp which is an active server document. Would you like to save this file"

I'm using a host with asp.net v1.0 and v2.0. Tried both of them and same thing.

Any ideas why the admin panel won't open?

Order number is in the shopconfig file
Database test says pass for all

I'm stuck.

Rob

that'd be an IIS issue I think; it looks like asp isn't enabled on your site; some hosts, even though advertising asp, need you to explicitly enable it via their control panel.

Hi Simon, thanks for the reply.

I am able to go to the default shopping cart that comes with the initial install package and go all the way through the checkout process.

My host allows me to activate asp.net 1.0 or 2.0 or even no asp.net. I've tried them all.

Any other ideas?

Thanks again for your time.

You mention asp.net but VPASP is ASP Classic. Don't know whether it will run properly on .net
