Hi, maybe someone geekier than I can shed some light on this:

For some reason, two of the categories in my client's shop have started bringing up server errors when you click on the category link:

# Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E14)
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Line 1: Incorrect syntax near ')'.
/shopproductinventory.asp, line 20

I tried deleting and re-creating those category records and replacing my edited shopproductinventory.asp script with the original. Neither worked.

I've sent a support ticket to the web host, but wonder if anyone here has encountered something similar. I'm stumped as to why only two product categories would be throwing the error. I can't see anything "special" about either category compared with the others.

Thanks.

Make sure your categories don't have any special characters in them. I had a similar problem when our shipping method name had parenthasis in them like:

UPS Ground (No PO boxes)

ended up changing it to

UPS Ground - No PO boxes

... and then it worked.

Thanks! The two categories did have forward slashes in them, but removing them didn't seem to help. I'll try again, though.
