My currency symbols are appearing strangely and I cannot change these odd symbols in the sql database or in the backend of the website.

£18.27 = Pounds sterling

€27.05 = Euros

That odd A with an accent over it keeps appearing even if i delete it in the database.

Anyone have any clues on why this is??

Does anyone have any ideas about this, its really causing a problem for me. I have tried getting the latest up date to VPASP 6 but nothing seems to have worked.

Hi!

I found this post on google http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread2645.html

How are you putting the Euro and Pounds symbols in the database? Are you copying and pasting them from somewhere?

You might need to change the charset at the top of your shop header and admin header files to use 8859-15 and then try entering the symbols?

I don't know a lot about this, I'm just guessing from the forum post I pasted in above. Hopefully it helps though!

Seb

I am having exactly the same issue, but changing the charset is not fixing the issue - can anyone help? It is really causing some grief!
