Is there an easy way to enable multiple product select (xProductSelect) only for certain categories? Basically I have two kinds of inventory products, retail and commercial. The retail products need to still have quantity boxes (number each of garment sizes) but will be ordered one garment style at a time.

Example of retail:


"A Garment" $10 (Quantity Each)
.........................S......M.....L..... XL
....................... ___ ...___ ..___ .. ___
.......................|___| |___| |___| |___|

.......................[Order]



The commercial buyers want to select several sizes from several styles and then go to the [order selected] to put the items in the cart.

Just brainstorming here . . .

1. You probably know all your commercial buyers so maybe ask them to login and have customer match pricing. Then I think you could have the cart show them specific products with the setup you want while the retail customers never see these.

2. I believe the VP-ASP license is by domain/IP address so you could set up 2 independant carts: 1 for retail and 1 for commercial in seperate folders with seperate db's.

Yeah. I thought of that. I was hoping there was a way to do it on a product by product basis.

You can do 2 seperate cart with one DB and enable productmatching.

For the ones that need different product features just make a copy of the product, mark one commercial and the other retail,(or whatever you call each cart in config) then give each the proper features as needed.
