Does anyone have experience with this?

What happens if affiliate commissions are set to Multi Level and also by product using a specified field in the product table.

In other words, can I set affiliate commissions to be paid by product with the first level receiving X% ( Say 5%-20% Based on product field) and the second level receiving a static 30% all the time?
