Hi there,

We have developed a new template and are interested in having a limited number of beta testers put it through its paces and let us know their thoughts and what they find.

You need to have a valid order id to be a beta tester and you can apply at [email protected].

Please include your order id and the email used when purchasing VP-ASP.

It will be first in best dressed as to beta testers so don't delay too long with your application.

Thanks
Cam

The main differences are a fresh new look and feel and a far greater migration to CSS than with the default package.

We have also changed the way templates and pages such as the customer admin and search pages are laid out as well.

You can have a look at some screenshots at:

http://www.vpasp.com/images/templates/techblue_search.jpg

We have another 8 in the wings but this is our first one out.

Thanks
Cam

Are these just templates or are you getting into the script pages and actually updating those to CSS away from the hard coding tables, etc?

Is this a move toward eliminating SHOPCOLORS file?

Hi Support,

My long awaited suggestion for future designs based on some other PHP (I hated this language) scripts:

1) Super nice Product detail page (Look at the iPod product detail page, it has a build-in multi view product images) & Directory-like homepage (Choose from 12 ready-made default designs at the top left hand side)
Demo: http://www.shop-script-demo.com/premium/index.html

2) Test the Template-Engine by selecting a Template from the dropdown menu (on the left-topmost menu):
Demo: http://testshop.xtc-hosting.de/

Usually I ask my customers to choose directly from Template Monster "Online Shop" category and then I'll integrate the design into VPASP easily.

VPASP is best in terms of functionality. But can be better in terms of default designs. It can become a Turnkey shopping cart solution. :-)

Hi,

Actually I still prefer the default design of OxfordStreet. You can see that I still put it as the Demo design in my website: http://www.shoppingcart.com.sg/demo.asp

Will VPASP re-use the above design?

Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

We will be implementing OxfordStreet into VP-ASP as well.

We also have designers working on new templates for us as well which we will be listing for them on our site for sale.

If any other designers are interested in putting together templates for sale on our site please feel free to contact us at http://www.vpasp.com/sales/shopcustcontact.asp.

Thanks
Cam

Finally some diffrent templates to choose from!! Thank you!!

The only one problem i have with VPASP which i think a few other users will agree is the lack of templates, even just nice clean simple ones like the new one above at least they are nice enough to use for your own site or use it as a starting point. The only other option is to get a designer to start from scratch which means ££££

Please keep the templates coming I cant wait to see the online demo and new templates coming.
