My ISP had to restore vpASP from a backup and it seems the backup program they used program trucated the filenames of 160 files *with long filenames* in the vpASP path and more files in the various directories. The trucated filenames have no association to the original name to easily rename them, except for the .asp, .htm, etc. Looking at each file in an editor, there is no comment line within the file with the file name in the files.
It would be a great help to have a comment line with the file name to assist with renaming any files that have truncated file names after a restore. Not sure if this is something only I enclountered.
Thanks for your consideration.

I'd find it useful too, but not for backup aspects, instead I'd find it useful for when i "clone" pages (eg create a copy of the shopa_displayorders.asp file which displays different types of orders to normal; that kind of thing; it'd be nice to see where it originally came from without having to create comments in it; a kind of "ultimate source was the file ...blah.asp")
