How can I fix the error below? It only occurs if I leave the address2 field empty. I assume this means the field is required, which I do not want. Please help.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e21'

Field 'customers.address2' cannot be a zero-length string.

/store/shopcustregister.asp, line 164

Hi!

To fix this error, you will need to do the following -

1. Open your Access database
2. Click on the Customers table and choose Design
3. Select the address2 field
4. Change the "allow zero length" to be True
5. Save the table

This has been fixed in the current package, it was a problem in earlier releases of 6.00

Kind regards,

I am using 6.09 and got this error? Is there a newer version with this correction? I thought I had the latest release which I bought a week and a half ago.

Hi,

Sorry - I have just checked with the development team and it was actually a problem in 6.09 as well. We became aware of it a couple of days ago and has since been resolved in current copies.

If you would like to contact us via the Helpdesk at http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/helpdesk we will be happy to fix this for you.

Kind regards,
