I'm upgrading to version 6 from 5.5 and the categories are not hiding. I have the field cathide in the category table set to Yes and they are still showing up.

I recall having that problem with v6.07 or 6.08 a few months ago. Support fixed it then, bug fix so no support points charged. But with my latest shop, v6.09, I'm not having that problem. So make sure you have the latest version.

I removed a space bfore no and yes in the language files for langcommonno and langcommonyes. I reloaded the language and it hid the catagories
